Aniimo Dreaple Location: Sleeping Flock and the 30 Emberpup Spawn

How do you spawn Dreaple in Aniimo?

Dreaple does not appear because you entered its biome. Two separate gates have to open first: the Sleeping Flock event must be completed in Nimbus Fields, and then you have to catch 30 Emberpup-family Aniimo. Only after both does Dreaple spawn asleep at the ruins in the middle of Nimbus Fields, waiting to be picked up rather than fought.

That makes Dreaple one of the few Idyll creatures whose spawn condition is about another species entirely. Its index entry is Aniilog No. 019, a Nova stage Dark Support, and its habitat note is effectively “one place, one condition” rather than a region.

If you want to avoid the grind, there is a second route: evolve a Nimbi. That path is slower in levels but needs no regional event and no Emberpup farming.

[!tip] Two routes, pick one and commit The event route gives you a guaranteed catch and a fixed spawn you can repeat. The evolution route needs a level 21 Nimbi and a night-to-day rest. If you already own a Nimbi, check its evolution screen before you commit an evening to Emberpup farming.

What is the Sleeping Flock event and where does it start?

Sleeping Flock is a Lumin Amber activity in Nimbus Fields, and it is the hard prerequisite — Dreaple will not appear in the region at all until it is done. It sits west of the First Spark Sanctum in Nimbus Fields.

The completion sequence takes two conditions and one interaction:

Step Requirement Why it matters
1 Make sure it is daytime The event will not complete at night
2 Twine with a Nimbi The event only triggers for that creature
3 Approach the odd leaf tree west of the First Spark Sanctum Interacting starts the nap with the other Nimbis

The daytime condition is the one players miss most often. If the leaf tree will not respond, the usual cause is that you arrived after dark or that you are not currently playing as a Nimbi.

One route guide gives the event’s position as coordinates (-1138, 0659) in Nimbus Fields. That is a single-source figure and is included as a convenience rather than a confirmed pin — the landmark description, a peculiar leaf tree west of the First Spark Sanctum, is the reliable version. The Nimbus Fields region page covers the local sanctums, and the broader Amber activity family is described in the Idyll Ecological Investigation event page.

Where exactly does Dreaple spawn in Nimbus Fields?

Dreaple spawns in the ruins near the center of Nimbus Fields, and it is asleep when you find it. Game8 describes it as sitting in front of one of the collapsed entrances to the ruin complex. GameRant places the same encounter at the broken arch of the Idyllian ruins, southwest of the Nimbus Plains Branch. Both descriptions point at the ruined arch structure rather than an open field, so head for the collapsed stonework and look for a sleeping creature rather than a patrolling one.

Because Dreaple is asleep, the catch itself is the easy part. GameRant reports the sleeping Dreaple can be caught at 100% probability, which removes the usual HP-lowering and backstab routine. That also makes it a good candidate for a rarer capture tool: the same guide notes that catching the sleeping Dreaple with a Sparkling Cube can produce a Sparkling Perfect Dreaple, since the catch cannot fail and the cube’s guarantee applies cleanly.

Two timing details are worth knowing. The first time Dreaple spawns, an on-screen notification tells you it has appeared. Later spawns do not produce that notification, so you have to remember to check the ruins. And the spawn counter does not stack: you cannot bank 60 Emberpup catches and expect two Dreaple.

Is the “catch 30 Emberpup-family Aniimo” rule real?

Yes, the number 30 and the Emberpup family are both consistently reported. The parts that are not settled are whether the catches must be consecutive and whether the spawn repeats. Because this is community-relayed information rather than something the game states in a tooltip, here is exactly who says what.

Source What it states Conflict
Game8 1 Dreaple spawns for every 30 Emberpup-family Aniimo caught; the counter does not stack Implies the spawn is repeatable
AllThings. How Catch 30 Emberpup-family Aniimo in a row after clearing Sleeping Flock; the wild spawn is repeatable Says “in a row”
GameRant Catch 30 members of the Emberpup family in a row; the Aniimo only spawns once Says the spawn happens once
MetaBot.GG Complete Sleeping Flock, then 1 Dreaple appears per 30 Emberpup-family catches, non-stacking Matches Game8

So the safe reading is: clear Sleeping Flock, then catch 30 Emberpup-family Aniimo. Treat “in a row” as the stricter community version of the rule — two guides state it, so a clean consecutive run is the low-risk way to trigger the spawn. Treat “only once” as a claim from a single source that two other sites contradict, so it is marked single-source here and should not be repeated as fact.

The Emberpup family means Emberpup and its evolved forms, which is why the efficient farm is the Fire-attracting Bloom rather than a walk around Nimbus Fields.

[!warning] The 30 catches are community-reported, not in-game text Pawprint Studio has not published the trigger condition in the patch notes or the official index. The number is consistent across four independent sites, but the “consecutive” clause and the repeat behavior are not.

Why does Dreaple only have one spawn point?

Every world spawn table places a limited number of markers for a species, and Dreaple’s count is one. It is not a habitat density creature that you roll for as you cross a meadow; it is a single scripted marker that flips on when a world-state condition is met.

Region databases classify it under special encounters rather than wild spawns, alongside creatures that need a specific weather, a particular time of day or a quest flag. Dreaple’s flag is the Emberpup catch counter, which is why the encounter cannot be brute-forced by traveling: no amount of walking creates a second marker.

The design reason is scarcity. Dreaple is a Dark Support whose trait, Counting Sheep, applies Drowsiness every 10 seconds and converts three stacks into a 20-second Nightmare that reduces Dark Resistance by 27% and stops the target moving or casting for 3 seconds. That is control on the level of a boss mechanic, so the creature is kept behind a one-off world state instead of a common spawn table. One sleeping Dreaple per trigger is the balancing lever.

Can you get Dreaple without the Emberpup grind?

Yes. Dreaple is also the evolution result of Nimbi at Aniimo level 21. MetaBot’s evolution data lists the requirement directly, and AllThings. How describes the same route with two extra conditions: rest from night to day during the evolution process, and the Nimbi needs the Dreamsong talent. Nimbi is a common early creature in the grasslands around Nimbus Fields, so if you have been playing through Breezy Plains you probably already own the base creature.

The trade-off is time versus certainty. The evolution route needs a level 21 Nimbi plus the talent and the rest step, but it does not depend on an event that has to be done at daytime with the correct creature equipped. The event route needs no leveling at all beyond surviving the catch.

Either way you get the same Dreaple, and its entry is identical: Aniilog No. 019, Dark Support, 520 attribute total, with Fly Lv. 2 as its pathfinding skill from the same dex records.

Is Dreaple worth the effort?

Official stats put Dreaple’s value in magic defense and control rather than damage. The spread below is repeated by three independent dexes, which all land on the same 520 total.

Attribute Dreaple (official index)
HP 100
BREAK 50
ATK 110
M.DEF 103
P.DEF 77
REGEN 80
Attribute total 520

An M.DEF of 103 is the standout number and matches the “control support” read: Dreaple is built to survive magic pressure while it sets up a Nightmare window. Its ATK of 110 is respectable for a support and its BREAK of 50 is deliberately low, so it is not a gauge-breaker. Its heal, Nightmare Devourer, restores 5% HP to Dreaple and nearby allies and absorbs Nightmare from nearby targets for up to three 2% healing stacks.

The catch is that the control ends the moment the target takes damage. Nightmare locks the target for 3 seconds, but any hit removes the effect, so Dreaple’s real job is to freeze a dangerous action while your Dark damage is already queued. Used as a generic healer it will feel weak; used as a setup piece before a planned burst window it is one of the stronger supports in the game. The tier list and best team guide show where that timing fits.

Which mistakes break the Dreaple spawn?

  • Doing Sleeping Flock at night. The event needs daytime, and a failed attempt leaves Dreaple unavailable with no error message.
  • Forgetting to twine with a Nimbi. The event only triggers for that creature. Arriving in your normal form wastes the trip.
  • Farming Emberpups in Nimbus Fields. The efficient farm is the Beast Fang Ridge Bloom, on the west side of Breezy Plains, where a Fire Shard nurture pulls the Emberpup family in; the route write-up puts that area at levels 46–47, so bring a real team.
  • Killing instead of catching. Only catches count toward the counter.
  • Waiting for a second notification. The first Dreaple spawn announces itself. Later spawns do not.
  • Hitting the target after Nightmare lands. Any damage strips the control effect, which is the entire point of running Dreaple.
